Forth Road Bridge Reopens

The Forth Road Bridge has reopened to traffic, following its closure due to a high-sided vehicle overturning on the northbound carriageway.
The incident happened around 14.50 on Tuesday 14 March. As a result the bridge closed in both directions for several hours to allow recovery of the vehicle, reopening at 18:19.
Warning signs were in place at the time of the incident prohibiting high-sided vehicles from crossing the bridge due to high winds. Police attended the scene.
